The Alcatel 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS) is a new breed of multiservice transport platform able to support any mix of traffic from 100 percent circuit to 100 percent packets. Service providers can uniquely address the transition from TDM/circuit to packet transport with a universal switch that enables flexible provisioning of Ethernet/MPLS, SONET/SDH, and WDM/OTN in any proportion.
